Statement of Work: 
The Williamstown Art Conservation Center treats objects ranging from family antiques to some of the most important works of art in the country. A nonprofit organization founded in 1977 to address the conservation needs of a small consortium of collecting institutions, it now serves more than 50 members, as well as many nonmember museums and historical societies, individual collectors and corporations. The Center is a full-service facility conserving paintings, works on paper, photographs, furniture, frames, sculpture, ethnographic and decorative arts objects, and analytical services, including optical, microchemical, spectroscopic and chromatographic investigation.
