    Librarian–Full Time

    $38,000-$40,000

    The Canajoharie Library is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Librarian. The Canajoharie Library provides literary, entertainment, and information resources, and promotes the active use of these resources, for recreation, education, and community engagement. The Librarian oversees all library services at the Canajoharie Library and reports to the Executive Director of the Canajoharie Library and Arkell Museum.

    The Canajoharie Library and adjoining Arkell Museum are one legal organization, offering a unique opportunity to serve patrons, visitors, and students in a culturally rich and welcoming environment. The Library and Museum enjoy a shared history, and are jointed funded by endowment income and committed foundation support. This is an incredible opportunity to work in a multi-faceted community Library steeped in regional history whose resources include a world-renowned art collection. Come join our team!

    A Master’s Degree in library science or equivalent from a school that is accredited by the American Library Association is preferred; candidates must be eligible for or possess a New York State Public Librarian certification and have professional experience in a library environment.
